ARGUABLY the best way to see Australia is from the saddle of a bicycle - and if Victoria is on your 'to-do' list, here's your chance.
The RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride, the biggest multi-day bike ride in the southern hemisphere, proves age is no barrier to tackling long distances, with more than half its participants aged over 45.
The 517km event, from November 25 to December 3, has been described as the ultimate bike riding holiday.
This year it heads to Gippsland where it promises beaches, lakes, forests, national parks, overnight stops at great country towns and a few secret gems.
If you can't get away for the full nine days but still want to be part of the fun, you can join the first five or the last three days.
Entry fee for the nine-day ride is $1099 adults, $1039 concession.
