FIRST it was women-only surfing retreats to Bali. Now SHE surfs has teamed up with Westside Yoga for Earth to Ocean - a marriage of fitness, adventure and spiritualism in Sri Lanka.
The first of these experiences takes place from November 24-30. And this time, men are welcome.
The retreat will be held in relatively untouched Kabalana, known for its pristine beaches, intriguing history and undiscovered attractions.
The seven-day escape will incorporate al fresco daily yoga overlooking the ocean and surf lessons catering to all skill levels including beginners.
Then, of course, there will be massages to soothe those newly-used muscles.
The timing is especially convenient for travellers from Melbourne as SriLankan Airlines launches direct flights to Colombo from October 29. Travellers from other states are advised to fly to Singapore and then connect to Colombo.
Two modern villas will house Earth to Ocean guests. The villas have direct access to a white sand beach, air-conditioning, an ensuite for each bedroom and a resident chef. There are two pools overlooking the ocean and gardens sprinkled with coconut trees.
