A MENU of "ancient cuisine with a modern twist" will be served up at Australia's premier Indigenous food festival, A Taste of Kakadu, this month.
The festival, from May 18-27, will see the region's best Indigenous chefs showcase their culinary creations at remarkable locations in Kakadu National Park.
Visitors can go on guided foraging walks enjoying "super foods" and delicacies such as Kakadu plums. Or dine on crocodile, fish and buffalo cooked in ground ovens and glide along the barramundi-filled rivers while dining on bush tucker-inspired canapes.
Accommodation is available during the festival at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel and at Cooinda Lodge and Camping Grounds.
