Walkers soak up the magic of a Murray River morning.

A COMPANY that offers guided walks for people to discover the magic of the Murray River has won silver at the 2017 National Tourism Awards.

In only its second year, Murray River Walk took out the ecotourism category at the awards announced in February.

“The win rewards our outstanding guiding team and recognises the unique experience of walking each day along the river while our houseboat accommodation moves to our daily walking destination,” said managing director Tony Sharley.

Murray River Walk offers four-day/three-night guided walking in the Riverland Wetland of International Importance above Renmark. Groups of up to 10 enjoy walking a total of 40km (12-14km each day), river cruising and accommodation on a modern houseboat.
