AIR New Zealand will launch a non-stop service between Auckland and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport later this year.
Starting November 30, the airline will operate the new route three times weekly, with its new configuration Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Flight time will be about 15 hours northbound and just over 16 hours
southbound.
The airline says the service will provide Australian travellers with a more seamless experience. Transiting through Auckland, passengers will remain in the same terminal with eligible travellers able to use Air New Zealand's
flagship international lounge.
Along with connections from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, the route will also provide customers in Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast with a one-stop travel option to visit Chicago. Currently passengers have transit stops in both Australia and the US.
Chicago is an exciting destination with much to offer - from its incredible history, museums and architecture to world-renowned jazz music.
The new flights to Chicago are now on sale.
