DISCOVER the mysteries of India, Sri Lanka and the Arabian peninsula with The Senior and Travelrite International.
Departing Singapore on April 6 and finishing in Abu Dhabi on April 25 next year, the tour will feature a 15-night cruise across the Andaman Sea, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea aboard Celebrity Constellation.
Visiting Phuket in Thailand and Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, the cruise also includes shore excursions in India at the port of Cochin in Kerala and former Portuguese colony of Goa, before heading to the Arabian Peninsula with stops in Muscat (Oman), Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In Singapore, passengers will take a guided tour of the city including historic Chinatown and the magnificent Orchid Gardens before boarding Celebrity Constellation.
The stop at Phuket, a rainforested island in the Andaman Sea, features a boat journey around Phang Nga Bay, plus the chance to see the famed James Bond island featured in The Man with the Golden Gun.
Day seven explores the Sri Lankan city of Colombo. With its long history as a port on the ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British, this city has a rich colonial heritage and is a true potpourri of architecture, religions and cultures.
There is also a visit to the Pinnewalla Elephant Orphanage.
In Kerala, on India's south-west coast, the shore excursion visits the famous Chinese Fishing Nets in Cochin. The nets are fixed land installations for fishing, reaching up to 20 metres long and 10 metres high.
There's also a visit to the oldest European church in India, St Francis Church in Fort Kochi, dating back to 1503.
Other places of interest include Paradesi Synagogue and the Dutch Mattancherry Palace featuring Kerala murals depicting Hindu art.
Travellers will discover the history and heritage of the former Portuguese colony of Goa with a visit to 'Rome of the East' Old Goa. With several UNESCO World Heritage Site listed churches, convents and colonial buildings, it's a chance to see the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Se Cathedral. There is also a trip to a spice plantation and to see the River Zuari.
From Goa it's on to Mumbai, India's biggest city, for a comprehensive sightseeing tour taking in majestic architecture including the Gateway of India, the Taj Mahal Hotel built in 1903 and the extravagant Gothic building Victoria Terminus railway station.
In Oman, passengers get to explore the stunning port city of Muscat and examples of Islamic architecture including the Grand Mosque and historic 17th century Fort of Nizwa, as well as checking out a cattle market and souk famous for Bedouin silver jewellery.
Where better to view Dubai than from the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa? The itinerary also includes checking out the new Atlantis development and, in the old part of Dubai, El Bastakiya, Dubai Spice Souk and the famous Gold Souk landmark.
The tour ends with two nights in Abu Dhabi. Passengers will visit one of the largest mosques in the world, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Women's Handicraft Centre and the Heritage Village, the Louvre Abu Dhabi and head out into the desert for a dune drive and visit to a camel farm before enjoying belly dancing and dinner around the campfire.
Priced from $6750 per person twin share, the tour includes return economy class air travel from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth to Singapore and return from Abu Dhabi, one night's 4-star accommodation in Singapore and two nights in Abu Dhabi including breakfasts.
