FLORIADE'S milestone 30th anniversary will see the flower show "rejuvenate" the capital with new events and improvements including an extended sculpture garden.
The southern hemisphere's largest flower show will be held in Commonwealth Park from September 16 to October 15, 10am-7pm daily.
The introduction of an evening opening concert on September 15 ushers in the changes.
The inaugural Floriade Twilight Concert, presented by Singapore Airlines, will feature an open air musical performance by The David Bowie Tribute Band supported by the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
This ticketed event offers the opportunity to see the 2017 flowerbed designs before the gates officially open.
Eighteen months in the making, this year's designs will feature more flowers planted across new spaces within Commonwealth Park and showcase the best performing and favourite designs since the event began.
Doubling the fun, the popular after-dark experience, NightFest, will run the September 22-24 and September 29-October 1 weekends, from 8-11pm.
