HERITAGE Tours’ accommodated or camping safaris can take you into remote areas of far north Queensland in comfort and style.
A variety of Cape York tours cater for guests from all walks of life. These venture off the beaten track to discover the beauty of remote inland areas at first hand – offering a chance to experience the landscapes, lifestyles, flora and fauna of the less-travelled outback. Itineraries include meals, transfers from Cairns and various optional activities.
The seven-day Cape York camping tour features accommodation in permanent pre-erected tents, doing away with the hassle of pitching tents each night.
The safari canvas dome tents have heavy-duty floors and high-density foam mattresses, with showers and toilets at each campsite.
Camp stretchers are available for hire, or you can take your own sleeping bag, sheet and pillow. If camping is not your style, you can join an accommodated safari where you sleep in a room every night.
There are two nights’ accommodation with an ensuite bathroom and four nights of basic twin share accom- modation, with shared bathrooms and linen supplied.
Guests on the accommodated tour have six nights’ accommodation with an ensuite and all linen supplied.
Travel is in small groups (maximum of 25) in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle with onboard toilet.
