NO PLANS for New Year's Eve as yet? Why not gather up the family and celebrate on Cockatoo Island, the only Sydney Harbour island where you can stay overnight.
You'll be able to watch the fireworks from a spectacular location right in the heart of the harbour. There's glamping, camping and BYO camping available, as well as a variety of activities and entertainment.
Activities run from December 30 through to January 1 including guided tours exploring the island's convict and shipbuilding history, games and crafts for the youngsters, historic steam crane demonstrations, movies in the Wolverine Cinema and a live DJ on New Year's Eve.
There's also a selection of food and drink options with pop up stalls and food trucks.
Glamping and Camping NYE 2017 options are for two-night stays.
