From those humble beginnings the mission has evolved beyond just providing sustenance, it has become a daily dose of not only nutrients, but also social interaction and local community camaraderie.

Sharing your story and redeeming your free pin is easy:

- Follow the instructions to submit your story relating to Meals on Wheels in your local community, your recollection of volunteering with a parent, grandparent or with your school, or fond memory about a loved one receiving the service.
- The first 500 stories submitted will be sent a free 70-year commemorative pin via mail as a token of our appreciation for sharing your story within four weeks of submission. One submission per person is eligible to redeem a free pin.
