The Ultimate Festival of Wheels, Red CentreNATS returns in September and this year's program takes things up another notch with the inclusion of a Thursday evening qualifying program at Alice Springs Inland Dragway.
The additional evening is to cater for the ever-growing program, and will see the Dragway open for qualifying for both Round 1 of the 2022/2023 Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and Top Doorslammer Australia.

This means the fastest cars on earth will be heading to the Red Centre. They will be joined by a huge range of modified vehicles cruising the streets thanks to the special temporary permit system only available at Red CentreNATS.
The program also includes the famous Yeperenye Street Parade, plus burnouts, drag racing, bikes, the Great Northern 4WD course, show cars, Shannons Show 'n' Shine, grass driving and Lasseters Motorkhana.
The free Podium Party will return on Sunday evening. This year the fun will take place on the lawns at Lasseters Centre of Entertainment, and crowds will get to celebrate the weekend's winners and enjoy live music from high-energy AC/DC tribute band High Voltage.
Red CentreNATS will run from September 1-4 across three venues: Alice Springs Inland Dragway, Blatherskite Park and Lasseters Centre of Entertainment.

Major Events Minister Paul Kirby said Red CentreNATS is a unique motorsport event unlike any other.
"That's partly because of the packed program, which includes something for every kind of car lover and motorsport fan, but also because of where it takes place - the unique heart of Australia," he said.
"People have travelled from every jurisdiction in the country to enter, including Tasmania, and there's a reason why they return year after year. The program, the vibe, the cars, the friends they make - and the things they see and do, both in Central Australia and on the road trip many of them take to get there."
"This event brings huge benefits to the Territory, and last year attracted a record number of entrants while generating a total expenditure stimulus of $7.25 million. This year is lining up to again deliver for the Red Centre region."
Summernats co-owner Andy Lopez said the program for Red CentreNATS 08 is easily the biggest ever.
"There's all the usual highlights including the massive Street Parade, the burnouts, elite show cars, and heavily modified cars cruising the streets of Alice Springs," he said.
"And this year drag racing is bigger than ever with the Burson Top Fuel Championship and Top Doorslammer Australia kicking off their seasons on Thursday and Friday at Alice Springs Inland Dragway. Don't miss it."
