Three of the world's most acclaimed soloists will share the universal language of music during an exciting national tour.
Consisting of Chinese pianist Zhang Zuo, Korean violinist Esther Yoo and Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan from Armenia, Z.E.N. Trio is heading to Australia for the first time ever.
Presented by Musica Viva Australia, the tour will see the exciting trio perform in eight cities from August 10-27.
The concert will feature two programs, with each one to include the world premiere of a new piece by Australian composer Matt Laing and Arno Babajanian's Trio for Piano, Violin & Cello in F Sharp Minor.
Program one will also include Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major, while program two will feature Dvok's Piano Trio No. 4 in E Minor, 'Dumky'.
The Trio has performed concerts for BBC Radio and has toured the UK, Europe, China, Canada and the United States.
While an acronym of the three members' initials, the trio's name also represents the philosophy with which they approach chamber music making - the forgoing of the self for togetherness.
