McLaren Vale is home to many award-winning wines grown in Australia.
Located about an hour's drive south of Adelaide, gentle rolling hills provide a rich landscape to explore.
Walking, cycling or riding through the scenery is a great way to experience the area. Dedicated paths make cycling and walking safe and enjoyable.
The region has many scenic trails to explore including the new Flat to Vale Trail which officially opened in June. Families, runners, cyclists, walkers and visitors can now use the safe and scenic trail to travel between the townships of McLaren Flat and McLaren Vale for the first time.
The 3.6-kilometre trail runs between Blewitt Springs Road, McLaren Flat, and the McLaren Vale Sports Ground, McLaren Vale. The trail is mostly sealed and takes you past the beautiful scenery of the region including Pedler Creek, and iconic vineyards. The trail also connects to the Coast to Vines Trail, including the Shiraz Trail.
