Ireland's contribution to the world of music and dance will be celebrated with the production of Eireborne taking to stages across Australia from July.
Showcasing only Irish artists' music, Eireborne sets 15 of the best Irish dancers in the world to international hits from artists such as Van Morrison, U2, The Script, Hozier, The Cranberries, Snow Patrol and many more, played by a live six-piece band.
This riveting and frenetic rock show production is an unparalleled theatrical experience, bringing Irish dance back to the original concept of live performance with live dancers and live taps, all set to a live band and singers.
The cast features former Riverdance lead, Luke Chaumont and eight-time Victorian Irish Dance state champion Louise Hewitt complementing the eleven virtuosos of Irish tap. A rising star is Liam Costello, who at 19 years old, is the youngest and only Australian to win the Irish Dance World Championships three times consecutively.
Revered dancer, choreographer and co-producer of the production, Peta Anderson co-created the concept for Eireborne and is also the lead female Irish dancer in this production.
"Eireborne allowed me to push the boundaries as the choreographer and revolutionise Irish dance which
shows just how versatile and mesmerising Irish dance can be," she said.
The tour starts on Friday, July 29 in Melbourne, before travelling across the country.
