It has been entertaining opera loving audiences under the Broome sky for 30 years, and now it is set to host a special birthday party.
Opera Under the Stars will present its 30th anniversary gala at Mangrove Hotel on August 27.
The performance will combine music from the masters of opera composition with lighter numbers and will be performed by an all star line-up.
Director Mary-Attracta Connolly said the program was designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
"It's a fantastic opera experience for everyone; the perfect combination of unpretentious luxury in the lush gardens of Mangrove Hotel overlooking Broome's majestic Roebuck Bay and the exquisite pleasure (of) being serenaded by a stellar cast of international stars," Ms Connolly said.
Performers will include Yorta Yorta soprano and composer Deborah Cheetham, soprano Rachelle Durkin, mezzo-soprano Caitlin Cassidy and tenor Paul O'Neill, with musical accompaniment from pianist Mark Coughlan.
The inaugural concert took place in September 1993 and featured soprano Ms Connolly, baritone Fergus H Anderson, pianist Jennifer Warren and local guitarist Guy Ghouse.
Over the years the event has shared a special connection with local musician, composer and playwright Jimmy Chi (1948-2017), with his compositions featured in every Opera Under the Stars event to date.
The show will start at 8pm.
