Uniting NSW/ACT has celebrated the topping out of its newest retirement living development at Marion St, Leichhardt, and the official opening of the Norton St, Leichhardt, Retirement Living Apartments.
The Uniting Church has a rich history within the Leichhardt community and has been providing retirement living units in the inner west suburb since 1957.
It housed residents in these buildings during this time and looks to continue the legacy of housing senior Australians in Leichhardt.
The Marion St 'topping out' ceremony marked an important construction milestone of the newest Retirement Living development reaching its full height.
Following the celebrations at Marion St, the official opening of the Norton St, Leichhardt development was celebrated, showcasing the game-changing retirement and independent living apartments with 360-degree Sydney skyline views that is now home to its new residents.
These two developments will further strengthen connection to community whilst creating outstanding and affordable seniors living for local residents to age in place.
The Marion St development will feature contemporary, well-appointed offerings in a 65-apartment complex across two buildings designed to maintain the independence of residents.
The completed Norton St development offers Leichhardt residents one-bedroom, two-bedroom, two-bedroom plus study and three-bedroom apartments in a 49-apartment complex.
