Are you a powder person or a liquid lover? How often do you wash your towels or sheets? Are you a cold water or hot water washer? And how do you compare to other Australians?
Aussies' dirty laundry habits are revealed in Canstar Blue's most recent laundry product awards where the nation comes clean on how often they wash their bedsheets and bath towels and who separates colours from whites.
Canstar Blue's research has shown Duo washes away competition for laundry powders while Radiant shines for laundry liquids and ALDI cleans up for laundry stain removers.
Three in four Aussies wash their bed sheets at least once in two weeks and their towels at least once a week but only 36 per cent of Aussies separate their colours and whites for laundry.
The comparison website asked over 3,000 Australians who purchased laundry powders, laundry liquids and laundry stain removers in the last three to six months to rate the brands on overall satisfaction as well as other drivers of satisfaction such as value for money, environmental friendliness, packaging design and scent.
Canstar Blue's Home and Lifestyle expert Megan Birot says, "The laundry laurels for customer satisfaction have been handed to Duo for laundry powder, Radiant for laundry liquid and ALDI's Di-San for laundry stain remover.
"ALDI remains the only brand to have received five stars for value for money in any and all of the laundry categories despite winning just one category for overall satisfaction."
Water temperature for laundry has Australia divided as half - 50 per cent of the survey respondents prefer to use cold water to wash their clothes. Laundry liquids (49 per cent) are slightly more popular than laundry powders (44 per cent) when it comes to the country's preferable type of laundry detergent. Women are still doing more laundry with 63 per cent of females as opposed to 42 per cent of males indicating they do most of the laundry in the household.
Australians spend $11 on laundry detergent and $8 on laundry stain removers per item on average.
