Ken Spence and Donna Killeen are passionate about photography - in particular photographing grandparents and grandchildren together.
While photography has long been a pursuit for both of them, during their working lives - Ken in the corporate financial world and Donna in finance and customer service roles - they only recently started a business called GrandKids with Grandparents Photography.
"I left my professional career five years ago because it was getting in the way of my photography," Ken said.
"The camera is a way of talking and connecting with the world - it lets you see things in more detail than you would otherwise. For me, the camera is like a magic carpet - it takes me to places I couldn't otherwise go.
Donna said the camera allows her to indulge her love of people.
"I've done a lot of photography in my local community, for newspapers and other publications. Out in the community you can capture the story of what's happening, what people are doing, unlike in the studio."
For the past 10 years, Ken has worked with Heartfelt, a volunteer organisation of professional photographers dedicated to providing the gift of photographic memories to families who experience stillbirth or have children with serious or life-threatening illnesses.
"It's very important work. Parents in that situation are often in a state of shock and we are able to take wonderful soft images that will always remind them how beautiful their child is," Ken said.
Donna said grandKids with Grandparents Photography is all about capturing special moments and relationships that grandchildren will remember in future years.
Adds Ken: "It's an overlooked genre of photography. The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is very special, and what we're doing has the grandparents front of mind - parents are not the focus.
"And it's not only small grandchildren - we also photograph grandchildren in their teens, 20s and 30s with their grandparents."
