A new podcast series offers audiences behind the scenes insights into some of Adelaide Festival Centre's most popular and memorable events.
The From the Wings series launched in May, providing access to thought-provoking conversations from some of the centre's most memorable events.
The fortnightly series' episodes include audio recordings from selected Adelaide Festival Centre talks, as well as conversations with Australian artists, writers, poets, and performers.
Subjects covered range from politics and society to food and family.
The first three episodes were taken from Our Words, an exploration of First Nations voices on page, stage and screen which took place as part of the 2021 Our Mob exhibition.
Episodes four to six were selected from recordings taken during Adelaide Festival Centre's 2021 OzAsia Festival's In Other Words program of new writing and ideas.
Our Words creative producer Celia Coulthard said the series was and would continue to be a meaningful platform for the elevation of First Nations literary voices.
"The creatives and conversations featured in the 2021 line-up are thought provoking, contemporary and important and it's wonderful to share them with a wider audience," Celia said.
OzAsia Festival artistic director Annette Shun Wah was also excited about the prospect of gaining more exposure from the series.
"We were thrilled by the provocative and insightful discussions from a range of writers and thinkers at the inaugural In Other Words," Annette said.
"This podcast series provides an opportunity to catch up with these timely conversations from the brightest minds."
