VIRGIN Voyages ship Resilient Lady will make Melbourne its new home port for the 2023-24 summer season.
Resilient Lady is the newest vessel in the company's four-ship fleet and will sail in Australian and NZ waters from December 11, 2023 to March 27, 2024.
The ship, equipped to carry 2770 passengers and 1150 crew, will first make its way here on a 44-night transcontinental voyage from Athens to Sydney before arriving in Melbourne.
Over the 2023-24 summer Resilient Lady will cruise to Australian destinations including Hobart and Burnie.
Its NZ itineraries feature stops in Picton, Napier, Tauranga, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
Cruises aboard Resilient Lady will range from 2-14 nights and offer Michelin-star culinary offerings at six restaurants.
For more casual dining there are 14 other eateries where passengers can choose from a variety of venues offering fresh, made-to-order meals in an upmarket food court style.
There are no assigned dining times and no buffets.
Tips are included in the fare and there is free wifi.
Virgin Voyages cruising has been described as "exclusively adult" and "a superyacht crossed with a chic hotel".
There are 21 different cabin categories and those with sea terraces or balconies have hammocks to enjoy the sea breeze.
