The longest suspension footbridge in the world opens in the Czech Republic this month.
Sky Bridge 721 has been built in the Czech Republic's Doln Morava Resort in East Bohemia, in the foothills of the Jesenky Mountains.
Spanning 721 metres, it is a unique experience, offering visitors a breathtaking spectacle and an adrenaline rush as they walk up to 95 metres above the ground.
It is more than 200 metres longer than the current longest suspension footbridge in the world, Arouca, Portugal, which opened only last month.
The bridge is just a few metres from the Sky Walk and spans the Mlnsk Stream valley from the ridge of Mount Slamnk to the ridge of Mount Chlum.
Visitors step onto the bridge at an altitude of 1125 metres and off it at 1135 metres above sea level. It is a unique technical feat in the Czech Republic.
After crossing the valley to the other side of the bridge, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the natural wonders and history of the area.
A new educational nature trail called "The Bridge of Time" is being prepared in co-operation with the state-owned enterprise LESY R (Forests of the Czech Republic) and the Museum of Czechoslovak Fortifications of 1935-38.
The unique game will feature augmented reality components and 10 educational panels covering the topics of environmental protection and the history of Sudetenland in an interactive and entertaining way.
The panels are thematically and chronologically ordered along the 2km trail and the game will take about an hour. To play, visitors will need a smartphone and an internet connection.
