A dingo might seem an unlikely walking companion but these furry fellows love exploring the bush with their two-legged friends.
Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort's Dingo Resource Centre is offering visitors the opportunity to take a walk with its resident alpine dingoes.
From now through to May, you can take a one-hour guided walk with Warragul, Rowdy and Bunji through the beautiful alpine environment. Along the way, guides will explain more about the often-misunderstood dingoes and their role in our ecosystem as top predators.
Proceeds from the walks, which are part of the Walk Away Extinction program, are used to support dingo education programs on the mountain.
The Dingo Walk and morning tea costs $39 per person and runs daily at 11 am and 1pm. If you are not up for a walk, the dingoes are also available for cuddles.
While the experience is perfect for day trippers Mt Baw Baw has plenty of accommodation for those wanting to explore the many hiking and walking trails on the mountain.
