People over 60 in Darwin are now eligible to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, joining the rest of the Territory.
Health Minister Natasha Fyles told media on Thursday that all Territorians, including the urban Darwin area, could now get the Pfizer jab.
She said the change was aimed at getting all Territorians fully vaccinated by Christmas.
"If you haven't been vaccinated yet, if you've been putting it off for tomorrow, that time has come," Ms Fyles said.
"The reason for this is we want our community vaccinated as soon as possible," Ms Fyles said.
"The clinical reason behind this is we have plenty of supply of Pfizer, we have plenty of appointments."
However, Ms Fyles said those who have already received their first dose of AstraZeneca must proceed with their second dose.
"If you have received one dose of AstraZeneca, it's important you have your second dose of AstraZeneca," she said.
"[But], we will now deliver Pfizer to Territorians aged over 60, we are now bringing Darwin Urban in line with the rest of the Territory."
