TIME to travel back to the swinging sixties!

Victoria's Bendigo Art Gallery will be showcasing the Mary Quant: Fashion Revolutionary art exhibition until July 11.

The exhibition comes to Bendigo following a sell-out season at London's V&A (Victoria & Albert) Museum.

British designer Mary Quant became one of fashion's biggest names after becoming an instrumental figure in the Mod and youth fashion movements of the 60s.

Bendigo and surrounding townships are currently sporting Quant inspired murals, daisy flower planter boxes, street art and fashion trails in order to celebrate the exhibition's arrival.

Visitors will be able to feast on 60s themed dishes in the city, which was recently named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

Those who enjoy a tasty lunch and a good drop may want to indulge in Balgownie Estate Bendigo's Mary Quant exhibition lunch package. The package includes a two-course meal, Balgownie's award-winning sparkling wine and entry to the exhibition.

They will also be able to enjoy Quant inspired food and drinks such as Mary Quantsants (croissants) and Quantails (cocktails), high teas and screenings of movies from the era.

A number of hotels and other accommodation lodgings are also offering themed experiences and accommodation packages.

The antique and vintage precinct area of Inglewood is also well worth exploring and if offering Mary Quant-themed window displays.

The gallery is located at 42 View Street and is open from 10am-5pm seven days a week. Tickets are $22 concession or $20 for members.
