PERTH'S Government House ballroom will serve as a stunning backdrop for a concert celebrating the music of Franz Liszt.
Liszt by Candlelight will be held in the famous building from 7pm on February 27.
The candlelit concert will feature four of Perth's top young pianists - Stellar WAAPA graduates Tommy Seah, Nicholas Williams, Jordan Proctor, Izaac Masters, and Hannah Th'ng.
The talented quartet will present a celebration of the life, works, and ideals of the nineteenth-century composer as part of the Restart the Arts with Government House initiative.
Liszt is best known for his fiery, dramatic and virtuosic piano fireworks, but the concert will also showcase his tender and intimate side.
The concert will feature favourites such as Consolations and Liebestrume, a selection from the Hungarian Rhapsodies and highlights from The Year of Pilgrimage.
It is intended to appeal to everybody - from curious music-lovers to seasoned connoisseurs.
Pre-concert drinks will be available for purchase from 6pm and interval refreshments will be served by fine caterers Comestibles.
