THE WA Women's Hall of Fame is getting ready to name new inductees to its Roll of Honour and is looking to the public for suggestions.
First established in 2011 in recognition of the Centenary of International Women's Day, the Hall of Fame names honour roll inductees annually on March 8.
It aims to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Western Australian women and their contributions to the state's community, history, and culture.
In its 10th year, organisers are looking for women of the past, from traditional custodians to early pioneers, to be honoured posthumously.
Previous inductees include midwife Frederica Cooke, who practiced under extreme difficulty in Boulder in 1904 and Daisy Bate, who worked with Aboriginal people in Beagle Bay on the Dampier Peninsula.
Other women on the roll include Dr Roberta Jull - the first woman to practice medicine in WA and the state's first internationally successful female botanist Georgiana Molloy.
Suggestions will close at 5.pm on February 12.
