Navman has launched its most advanced all-in-one device to help you get out on the open road safely this summer.
MiCam Explore combines the functionality of dash cam with navigation and phone. It's perfect for people wanting to discover new places - whether cities, deserted beaches, outback and off-road.
Packed with guidance, information and features to keep people safe, it has been especially built for drivers of SUVs with 4WD maps and routing for larger vehicles like motorhomes and those towing caravans, boats and trailers.
The MiCam Explore has a large 17cm "pinch and zoom" screen but its smooth and sleek design means it fits neatly on the windscreen with a magnetic mount that snaps into place, without cluttering the view.
Drivers have the choice of what they see on the screen, with clear one-touch buttons to move from one function to another without toggling from the main menu.
There is an option for spoken and visual navigation - with complete sets of maps for Australia and New Zealand, as well as 140,000km of 4WD tracks and points of interest.
It will also remind you of designated speed limits and you can access instant Live Traffic information while on the move.
To help drivers avoid the temptation to touch their phone, Navman has designed the ability to Bluetooth the phone to the MiCam Explore so they can make and take calls legally.
Drivers can also opt to have incoming messages read out loud to them - a feature found only on luxury cars.
As well, drivers can download the MiCam Companion Pro app to their phone so they can plan the trip on the app and have it ready on the MiCam the moment they jump in the vehicle.
The new interface also means people get in the car, campervan, SUV or truck and all the alerts work without the need to enter a specific route. They will see their speed against the signposted speed limit on the screen, and a helpful new widget on screen counts down the distance to the next speed or red-light camera.
The Navman MiCam range is available at leading retailers, RRP $499.
