At least 19,000 older Australians were forced into a nursing home last year because they couldn't get the care they need at home, says COTA.

Seniors' peak body, Council on the Ageing Australia has called on the government to fund an additional 60,000 home care packages in the October budget to ensure no one has to wait longer than 30 days for access.
