MORE than 2000 healthcare workers from a Sydney hospital will receive a thank you in the form of a free overnight hotel stay.
Hotel group Accor is offering the free stay at any of its 360 hotels throughout the country as thanks for the health workers' ongoing efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The offer will apply to all healthcare workers from Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital - from doctors and nurses, to cleaners and members of the administration team.
Chief operating officer for the Pacific region Simon McGrath said the hotel group was extremely grateful for the efforts of healthcare workers.
"They are the true soldiers on the frontline and day after day, they dedicate their lives to caring for others," he said.
"Now it is time to let our hotel teams look after them."
The hospital's chief executive Anthony Schembri said he was delighted that its hard-working team would be rewarded.
"Every day I am inspired by the courage, effort, talent and kindness I see from our teams," Professor Schembri said.
"I couldn't be more proud to see them enjoy a well-deserved break in a luxury hotel."
Accor also offers exclusive rates for all healthcare workers, firefighters, and emergency service workers and volunteers in need of a break.
