PEOPLE will have a chance to decide the winner of the Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival's poetry slam from their homes.
The festival will go digital this year and will be held from 7pm from June 5-6.
Judges are usually selected from a live audience, but this year anyone can have a say.
Those interested can register online and pay a ticket price of $5, or $8 for both nights.
They will then receive a Zoom Room pass to view poets and participate in the judging.
This year's slam will be hosted by 2019 winner Jason John, with heat one to take place on June 5 and heat two and the finals to take place on June 6.
Heats will also feature readings by non-competing guest feature poets, who will perform between sets.
Slammers will be competing for a first prize of $400 and a second prize of $200.
The virtual festival can be viewed via ZOOM, Youtube or Facebook and audiences are encouraged to participate by commenting, asking questions and offering observations.
Other features of the virtual festival include book launches, a short story contest for kids, teens and adults, presentations, workshops and podcasts.
