TRUE crime buffs will be excited to learn that a stage show of a popular podcast is coming to their computer screens.

The highly popular Australian True Crime podcast will present a special live-streamed virtual event from 8pm Eastern Standard Time, on May 16.

Hosts Meshel Laurie and Emily Webb will be joined by top detectives and fan favourites Ron Iddles and Narelle Fraser for the special event.

The two guests will come together for the first time to talk about some of their most fascinating and notorious cases.

Meshel Laurie, Emily Webb and Narelle Fraser will broadcast live, while Ron Iddles will join the discussion via video link.

Viewers will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the show.

The popular podcast sees media personality, Laurie and journalist and true crime writer Webb go beyond the headlines to take a deep look at some of the nation's most infamous crimes.

The hit podcast has built an impressive listenership of 1.4 million people per month.

Widely known as Australia's greatest detective, Ron Iddles' is the subject of Justine Ford's biography The Good Cop.

His career has spanned 320 murder investigations and his team has a remarkable 99 per cent conviction rate.

Narelle Fraser has been a member of Victoria Police for 27 years and has worked for its Rape and Homicide Squads and Missing Persons Unit.
