AN online variety show will entertain people stuck at home while supporting musical theatre performers who have been unable to perform due to social distancing.
Lights Up on the Arts (Home Delivery), will take place from 7pm on May 11.
The evening will be hosted by School of Rock star James Cutler and will feature performances by some of Australian musical theatre's best performers, direct from their homes.
Performers will include Johanna Allen, Andrew Cook, Georgina Hopson, Todd McKenney, Chloe Zuel and many more.
Stephen Schwartz - who composed music for shows including Wicked, Pippin and Godspell, has given permission for his music to be used during the performance.
Producer Joshua Robson said he hoped the performers and Schwartz's uplifting music would remind people of the importance of the arts to the community.
"Failing all else, the arts will sustain our world through even the toughest of situations. We think that's worth celebrating," he said.
The performance will be hosted on Facebook live.
