Seniors looking to downsize on the NSW Central Coast can now check out retirement apartments all from the comfort of their loungeroom, thanks to virtual inspections.
RetireAustralia has launched virtual tours of the the coast's first vertical retirement project, The Rise at Wood Glen in Erina, as well as Glengara Care aged care apartments in Tumbi Umbi in place of face-to-face consultations.
It is also offering free access to downsizing, financial and legal experts in April and customers can also take advantage of a $5000 voucher to help make moving home into either development as stress-free as possible.
RetireAustralia development manager Bill Clydesdale said the virtual viewings and offers are designed to provide customers with easy access to professional assistance to answer many questions that retirees have in this current climate.
"With the safety of our residents and staff our top priority, these measures are in line with a new approach to village visits as well as community activities, contractors and suppliers,'' Mr Clydesdale said.
"The virtual tours are so realistic that they allow customers to inspect the smallest of details in the premium finishes in our first completed apartment at The Rise as well as our new Glengara Care apartments.
"The free consultations with experts in finance and law are part of RetireAustralia's long-standing commitment to helping seniors explore the right options and lifestyle to suit their needs.''
Financial advisor Sarah Hall, of TBA Aged Care Financial Advisors and Ivan Kent, of Kent Law Group, will be available to answer questions and help demystify the process of buying into a retirement village.
Their expertise is broad ranging, with consultations able to offer general information on everything from legal contracts to preparing financially for retirement, and how to navigate through the current conditions.
Transition Angels meanwhile are specialists at co-ordinating and transitioning clients from their old homes into the new, from decluttering to setting up.
The Rise at Wood Glen is the next phase of expansion for Wood Glen Retirement Village, located across the road from the Erina Fair Shopping Centre and close to local beaches, nature reserves, medical and other services.
