Looking for that valuable antique or perfect collectable piece to bring the wow into your room? You may just find it - and add some fun into the bargain - at this year's Adelaide Antique Fair.

Held over four days in two pavilions at Adelaide Showgrounds, the fair will bring together more than 80 dealers from all over Australia selling items including art deco, mid-century modern, contemporary, furniture and collectibles.

If you're keen to find the value of your precious heirloom, appraisals will be conducted for the price of a gold coin donation, with proceeds going to children's cancer charity Canteen.

This year's special guest will be Claudia Chan Shaw, best-known her role as a presenter on ABC TV's Collectors and her book Collectomania.

Adelaide Antique Fair, October 18-20, Ridley Centre, Adelaide Showgrounds, Goodwood Road, Wayville; open 10am-5pm. Admission $15/$10/free.

Tickets adelaideantiquefair.com,eventbrite.com.au, or at the door.
