THE Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) will present a national tour of intimate Bach concerts this October.
The tour, which will celebrate the genius of one of history's most renowned composers, will feature performances in Sydney, Brisbane, Wollongong, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth from October 19-30.
It will feature an impressive line up of musicians including ACO artistic director Richard Tognetti, harpsichordist Erin Helyard, violist and composer Brett Dean and ACO principal Cello Timo-Veikko Valve.
The program will open with Richard Tognetti's solo violin, setting the tone for the opening piece - Sonata in A major for violin and harpsichord.
The concert will also feature new music by Brett Dean and a number of other Bach pieces including a spectacular conclusion of Brandenburg Concerto No.6.
