AUSTRALIA'S first underwater Reefsuites will open this summer in the Whitsundays on the Great Barrier Reef.
Guests will be able to stay overnight in one of two underwater suites offering panoramic views of the reef's marine life, including tropical fish, turtles and manta rays.
There is premium king or twin-single accommodation below sea level, complete with private glass ensuite.
The full Reefsuite experience, priced from $749 per person twin share, includes a return cruise out to the reef, all meals and beverages, a selection of marine activities and overnight accommodation.

The Reefsuites are the centrepiece of an $8 million redevelopment of the Reefworld pontoon, which has been meticulously reconstructed after damage sustained in Cyclone Debbie in 2017.
The floating pontoon will be situated at Hardy Reef (39 nautical miles from Airlie Beach) and will accommodate up to 300 day visitors for activities including underwater observatory access, semi-submersible tours, scuba diving and snorkelling.
Two overnight all-inclusive options will be offered - the exclusive underwater Reefsuite accommodation and the renewed Reefsleep experience, which will allow up to 28 guests at a time to sleep under the stars on the pontoon's top deck.
The removal of the original pontoon mooring infrastructure has involved the largest natural coral transplant ever to be achieved on the Great Barrier Reef.
Over a week, almost 4000 pieces of coral were sustainably removed from old moorings and replanted onto the existing reef wall to rejuvenate the Hardy Reef environment.
