NOMINATIONS are now open for the Victorian Premier's Volunteer Champions Awards.
Disability, Ageing and Carers Minister Luke Donnellan said the awards recognise volunteers who are making a real impact in their community.
Up to 60 volunteers will be recognised in the categories of leadership, impact, service and teamwork.
At the awards ceremony later this year, one recipient will receive the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award as 2019 Premier's Volunteer of the Year and also receive $10,000 to donate to a not-for-profit organisation of their choice.
"These awards recognise the outstanding and selfless work that all our volunteers do in the community every day," Mr Donnellan said.
"Volunteering improves people's connections across the community, and contributes to social cohesion and community resilience."
Nominations are open until June 28.
