Mount Gilead Estate, a senior's living community in Sydney's South West, has announced the launch of Assisted Living Apartments and the availability of home care services to its 500+ residents.

The new Assisted Living Apartments are designed for people that are ageing and finding it difficult to maintain their lifestyle in a traditional family home.

The new apartments are smaller and more manageable, designed for people with difficulties with mobility and have the benefit of services coming in to provide a great quality of life and independence.

Each apartment offers a modern, studio-style layout with kitchenette and bathroom with disability access and ample storage.

The Assisted Living Apartments bring an alternative form of serviced housing that is hard to come by in the Macarthur region.

Many people move into retirement villages and are still highly active and mobile. However, access to independent living options as one ages is very hard to find across Sydney's South West.

The Assisted Living Apartments will start from $232,000 and will be available for purchase from Saturday June 15 with demand expected to be high..

Mount Gilead Estate also announced the availability of home care services in partnership with RFBI Home Care.

Residents will now be able to access a range of in-home care services and support of a dedicated RFBI carer located onsite.

Many long-term residents have welcomed the news as it provides them with access a personalised suite of services such as personal care, meal preparation and more.

Mount Gilead Estate will also include a home services bonus worth $10,000 on all new apartment and villa sales.

Andrew Giles, General Manager of Mount Gilead Estate highlighted that in addition to attracting new residents, assisted living will benefit existing residents.

"For many it will offer reassurance and certainty that they can access services when independent living becomes challenging. Best of all, residents will still have access to all of the vast facilities - the community centre, golf course, cinema, and daily activities in the village. It ensures a full and rewarding life and outstanding social connections are had at the village."

Mount Gilead Estate is having an Open Day on Saturday June 15, 10am-3pm.
