IF you're planning a trip to Europe in the near future, why not consider a quick stay in Abu Dhabi?
The United Arab Emirate's national airline Etihad Airways is extending its offer of a free stopover in the popular tourist destination until the end of the year.
Travellers flying through Abu Dhabi either en-route to Europe or on the way back home to Australia have the option of breaking up their trip with a free two-night stay in the tourist hot spot.
The offer includes two nights' hotel accommodation and guests can choose from a range of luxurious hotels located across the city including the five star Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Intercontinental Abu Dhabi and more.
Abu Dhabi features a range of cultural and architectural highlights including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi and the newly opened Presidential palace, Qasr Al Watan.
It also boats an abundance of natural beauty including the spectacular sand dunes of the Arabian desert and some beautiful beaches surrounding Abu Dhabi Island.
The Extraordinary Abu Dhabi Pass allows visitors to use their boarding passes to access discounts at a number of attractions, restaurants, spas, beaches and retail outlets.
The promotion is available for online bookings and through a travel agent.
Bookings must be made by December 1 for travel up until December 31.
