The Ministry says safety and security of tourists is of paramount importance to them.
Tourists visiting India from Australia numbered 324,243 in 2017 representing a 10 per cent jump on the year before.
The Ministry has also launched a new Incredible India website and a mobile app showcasing India's major experiences such as spirituality, heritage, adventure, culture and wellness.
It has also introduced an e-visa to make travel easier for tourists from 167 countries, including Australia.
It is valid for entry through 25 designated airports and five designated seaports.
