OPEN air museum Sovereign Hill will light up the winter with festive cheer as it presents its popular Winter Wonderlights display in late June and July.
The Christmas in July event will give guests the opportunity to listen to live music, dance in the artificial snow and enjoy a stunning light projection show in the evenings.
The display features around 15km worth of fairy lights throughout Sovereign Hill's gardens and a new light tunnel.
Over 25 buildings will also be transformed by large scale light projections at the museum, which is based at Golden Point..
By day there will be pantomime and theatrical performances, Christmas themed art and craft activities, the chance to stock up on Christmas decorations and enjoy Christmas treats from the European style street market.
Day time activities will commence at 10am and the light display will start at 5.45pm each day for the duration of the event - which runs from June 29-July 21.
More than 95,000 visitors enjoyed last year's event and large crowds are expected this year, so pre-bookings are encouraged.
Concession tickets are $49.70, with family tickets available for $157.
