ARE YOU a fan of peanut butter? Whether you're a chunky spreader or prefer the smooth variety, you're sure to love this new Kiwi destination.

New Zealanders and visiting tourists are going nutty over a a new peanut butter tourist attraction in Nelson, on the country's South Island.

Pic's Peanut Butter World is a purpose-built destination for lovers of the popular spread.

The facility offers a free factory tour where, from specially constructed viewing platforms visitors can see the peanut butter being made and even have a go at making it themselves.

You can also get selfie of yourself on top of the world's biggest jar of Pic's Peanut Butter.

Owner Pic Picot likes to say that his factory is to peanut butter what Willy Wonka is to chocolate.

Now New Zealand's best-selling peanut butter, Pic's Peanut Butter also makes peanut oil, almond and cashew butters and the innovative snacking shots of peanut butter known as Slugs.

Tour bookings essential. They run Monday to Friday at 10am, 11.45am and 1.30pm. Suitable for adults and children but not those with peanut allergies.

Peanut Butter World is at 49 Saxton Road, Stoke, and there's also an on-site cafe, open Monday to Friday.
