GET READY for a holiday and a wedding in one.
This November, Wendy Wu Tours is taking travellers to a traditional Indian Hindu wedding celebration.
It doesn't matter that you don't know the bride and groom. Indian weddings are big boisterous affairs where you can fit right in.
The wedding is happening in the beautiful city of Jaipur where you will go to the sangeet, a pre-wedding celebration.
This is usually the night or day before the wedding where the entire wedding party comes together for an event full of song and dance, often in pre-choreographed moves set to traditional tunes. This is usually followed by a night of thumping Bollywood numbers.
The next evening, you will dress in traditional clothing for the celebration.
"We're always looking at ways to bring the ultimate in local culture to the guest experience, and this is the quintessential Indian celebration," said company spokeswoman Carlah Walton.
While on the tour, as well as experiencing an Indian wedding guest will enjoy the very best of the country; from the sights, sounds and tastes of Old and New Delhi, to the iconic Taj Mahal, and the stunning palaces and architecture of Jaipur.
The nine-day tour departs Australian capital cities on November 5 and is limited to 28 people. From $5380 per person.
