ENTERTAINMENT, information and endless fun will be on offer when the NSW Seniors Festival Expo takes over ICC Sydney at Darling Harbour on Thursday and Friday, February 14-15.
More than 50 exhibitors will provide information on everything from health, lifestyle and government services to aged care and sport.
Country music singer Darren Coggan will host the entertainment, while the ever-popular vet Dr Harry Cooper will talk on the benefits pets can bring to seniors’ lives at a special evening expo event on Thursday from 4-6pm.
“Owning a pet is shown to have a number of benefits, particularly for seniors,” Dr Harry said. “It not only provides companionship, but can improve mental health and wellbeing, and reduce health risks such as heart disease.
“I am looking forward to discussing the benefits of owning a pet, as well as providing advice that pet owners should consider as they enter their later years in life.”
Expo entry is free. Doors open at 9am both days.
