Romantic classics on the album range from Strangers in the Night, Sunrise, Sunset, The Way Old Friends Do and Red Roses for a Blue Lady to traditional songs like Amazing Grace and El cóndor pasa, classical melodies like the Vilja Song, beloved waltzes like By the Beautiful Blue Danube as well as music from films like Fiddler on the Roof.
“Romance has played a very big part in my life ever since I was a child. I started playing the violin at the age of five. My mother chose it for me and she was right. For me the violin is the most romantic instrument in the world,” Andre said.
A true romantic himself, André has been married for over 40 years and lives with his wife Marjorie in a historic castle, built in 1452 in his hometown of Maastricht, the Netherlands. The couple has two sons and five grandchildren.
