See My Brilliant Career
PRODUCER Margaret Fink will be a special guest at North Sydney Community Centre’s screening of classic Australian film My Brilliant Career on February 17.
The event, from 2-5pm, will start with an introduction to the life and work of author Miles Franklin, who wrote the book, followed by a screening of the 1979 film.
Following the screening, Margaret will talk with St Alban Writers’ Festival founder Catherine du Peloux Menage.
Set in the 1890s, My Brilliant Career tells the story of a girl divided between stirrings of passion and her need for self-fulfilment.
