Learn how food gets from the paddock to the plate on a behind-the-scenes tour of Northside Produce Market on February 16. Join food advocate Tawnya Bahr to meet the producers and hear the stories about how they grow, rear, bake and make their goods.

The annual Garden Party Luncheon on February 19 is a signature event at The Kirribilli Centre. Held in the courtyard, there will be a delicious roast lunch with all the trimmings along with drinks and music.

See My Brilliant Career

PRODUCER Margaret Fink will be a special guest at North Sydney Community Centre’s screening of classic Australian film My Brilliant Career on February 17.

The event, from 2-5pm, will start with an introduction to the life and work of author Miles Franklin, who wrote the book, followed by a screening of the 1979 film.

Following the screening, Margaret will talk with St Alban Writers’ Festival founder Catherine du Peloux Menage.

Set in the 1890s, My Brilliant Career tells the story of a girl divided between stirrings of passion and her need for self-fulfilment.

Tickets $15.

Every booking receives a two-for-one pass for to the new movie King of Thieves starring Michael Caine.
