The Clocktower Theatre season returns in 2019 with an exciting line-up of drama, music and even something a little different
Among the highlights will be the highly anticipated musical-drama The Sapphires, inspired by the true story of four young Aboriginal women, and Sunset Strip, a dramatic comedy about love, family dysfunction and making the best of lousy situations.
Music lovers will be singing along to The Voice’s Naomi Price when she performs some of the Beatles’ most monumental hits in Lady Beatle, while Sun Rising: The Songs that made Memphis is a vibrant show about the birth of rock ‘n’ roll.
Alinta Chidzey returns to the Moonee Ponds venue with the Hook Turn Orchestra to perform songs from classic movies in Jazz and the Silver Screen.
The captivating Soweto Gospel Choir and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra are also sure to light up the theatre.
For those craving something a little different in the new year, By a Thread will feature a performance of stunning contemporary circus works by seven acrobats using 30 metres of rope.
Kids aren’t forgotten and will delight in performances of The Gruffalo and Possum Magic.
