LIKE the idea of trekking holidays, but don’t want to rough it overnight?
SeaLink South Australia’s new all-inclusive Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail packages could be the answer.
Walkers can explore all or parts of the 61km trail by day, and by night enjoy the comforts of a hot shower, dinner and a king bed at KI Wilderness Retreat.
The Wilderness Trail accommodated self-drive packages include three-, four- and five-night options.
Each morning guests are transferred to the trail to continue their walk and at day’s end are transferred back to KI Wilderness Retreat.
The Wilderness Trail in the south-west explores the rugged, remote and spectacular coastline of the island, south-west of Adelaide. It also encounters unique wildlife and provides access to many attractions.
The accommodated self-drive packages start from $845 per person twin share for the three-day/three-night package; from $927 per person twin share for the four-day/four-night package; and from $951 per person twin share for the five-day/four-night package.
The packages are all-inclusive with return SeaLink Ferry transfers (including a standard size vehicle from/to Cape Jervis); accommodation at the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat, continental breakfast each morning; packed picnic lunch for full days of walking; a two-course dinner each night at the retreat’s Nicolas Baudin Restaurant.
Packages also include transfers to and from the start and finish point each day of the walk; a KI Wilderness Trail Walking Pass, map and guide and the KI Wilderness Trail walk.
