Nature lovers looking for an extra touch of comfort can camp in style in two Victorian national parks thanks to a Parks Victoria glamping trial.
The trial will be held at two locations – Lake Catani in Mount Buffalo National Park near Bright and Devil Cove campground in Lake Eildon National Park in the northern foothills of the Central Highlands.
Glamping at Lake Catani is an adventure and nature lover’s paradise. Mount Buffalo offers more than 90km of walking tracks, waterfalls, wildflowers, abundant wildlife and now luxury glamping.
With 10 bell tents, lush linens and furnishings and the creature comforts of home, visitors can relax after a busy day of adventure and exploring.
Glamping at Devil Cove, Lake Eildon National Park, is being offered by Yea Peppercorn Hotel’s Glamping with Nature offshoot.
The packages offer all the luxury trimmings of glamping as well as health and wellness experiences, kayaking, cooking classes and group fitness classes.
"The vast majority of visitors to our parks have indicated they’d like more diverse and accessible park services,” said Parks Victoria chief executive Simon Talbot.
“Offering different types of accommodation, such as glamping, helps enhance people’s experiences in our unique and magnificent parks.” The 12-week trial runs until December 2018.

An easy 35km drive from Bright or around 50km from Myrtleford, the 31,000 hectare Mount Buffalo National Park is a great all-season destination.
Mount Buffalo has 23 short and longer walking trails to suit any age and level of fitness and range from 45 minute strolls to six hour hikes.
There are more than 550 species of plants protected by the National Park. Throughout the warmer months, flowering annuals and shrubs put on a spectacular display.
Also keep an eye of for mammals including kangaroos, wallabies, possums, gliders and wombats and a variety of birds.
Lake Eildon National Park is in the northern foothills of the state’s Central Highlands, 150 km north-east of Melbourne.
Situated on the shores of he vast inland waters of Lake Eildon, the park protects 27,750 hectares of rugged hills with open woodlands through to dense forest.
